Microseparometer Model 1140 Mk V Deluxe ASTM D3948

The Microseparometer detects the presence of surfactants in mid-distillate fuels, primarily aviation kerosene (jet-fuel) and diesel. These surfactants can degrade filter separator performance.

The test consists of taking a sample of fuel, adding water and generating an emulsion. The emulsion is then passed through a miniature coalescer and is optically tested for correct removal of the water. The result is obtained in approximately 5 minutes.

A kit, called a six-pack (6-pack), is available which provides all the expendable supplies necessary to perform six tests.

Digital Conductivity Meter Model 1152 ASTM D2624

The 1152 is a portable field instrument which measures fuel and solvent conductivity.

The Standard range is 0 to 2,000 pS/m. The instrument is fully certified as being intrinsically safe to ATEx standards (EEx ia IIA T4, II 1 G).

Optional models are available to measure higher conductivity levels.

A cable reel is available for measurements in large tanks. Lengths of 1.5m, 3m, 15m and 30m are available.

The 1153 is a portable field instrument which measures fuel and solvent conductivity as well as temperature.

The Standard range is 0 to 2,000 pS/m. The instrument is fully certified as being intrinsically safe to ATEx standards (Ex ia IIA T4, II 2 G).

The 1154 is a laboratory level meter which uses multiple ranges to measure from .01 pS/m to 20,000 pS/m.
The 1154 is available with an optional temperature probe and extended ranges are also available.

Staticon® On-line Conductivity Monitor and Control System Model 1150 ASTM D2624

The 1150 monitors the conductivity of a fuel stream. It has the ability to automatically adjust the additive injection rate and thus maintain a constant conductivity level in the product stream.

The Standard range is 0 to 1,500 pS/m. The instrument is fully certified as being intrinsically safe to ATEx standards (EEx ia IIA T4, II 2 G)

Suitable injection pumps can be supplied and the system can interface to a wide variety of additive injectors.

Filterability Analyser Model 1143 ASTM D6426

The 1143 Filterability Analyser is a new instrument currently under approval study by the ASTM. The instrument will detect the presence of particulate, which may effect filtration capability. A sample of fuel is passed at a constant rate through a filter element while monitoring the pressure and volume. Reaching preset pressure and volume limits levels will automatically freeze test data for final filterability conclusions. The initial interest is for Diesel fuels, however, Jet and other fuels are also being tested with various filter elements.
